המתחסד עם קונוKindness Toward One's Maker

ha-mitḥased 'im konoIn Gamatria ↗

Every kindness below is also a kindness done above.

Entering Chesed, Lovingkindness, begins with loving God so fully that nothing interrupts one's service, receiving even suffering as love, like Nahum Ish Gamzu, who said 'this too is for the good.' Then, following the Tikkunei Zohar, a chasid is one who 'does kindness with his Maker': every human act of kindness has an upper counterpart. Attending a birth, circumcision, visiting the sick (the Shekhinah is 'lovesick' for union), charity, welcoming guests, tending the dead, bringing a bride to the canopy, and making peace between people all become ways of tending the sefirot, above all joining Tiferet with Malkhut.
