Chapter 10 binds return to Torah and higher knowledge in both directions. Complete return needs an exalted outlook, reachable only through the depths of Torah and divine wisdom. Bodily and religious purity help as supports, so that desire does not cloud the mind. Return comes from a lucid reckoning of a clear world, and in turn it clarifies the world. Equally, no one can enter the hidden spiritual realm without first returning. The moment one gazes at the supernal light, the radiance of absolute justice demands that one live up to it. One sees one's flaws, regrets out of love, and the visions of higher understanding then stand clear.
