לאין סוף ותכליתAlef, Endless Thought

le-ein sof ve-takhlitIn Gamatria ↗

Thought rises; there is no bottom to descend to.

Habakkuk says, 'I heard Your report and was afraid.' The text notes that the ear is shaped like an alef. Alef heads the letters and gives them their existence; all the letters come out of it, and it resembles the brain. Saying alef opens the mouth, and in the same way thought opens when one thinks toward what has no end or limit (ein sof ve-takhlit). The holy palace where the Name is sanctified is thought, which is alef. Because thought has no end, one says something 'arose in thought' but never 'descended'. Nobody goes down to the end of a thought.
