רחובות הנהרBroad Places of the River
rechovot ha-naharIn Gamatria ↗
A river without banks, a field without boundary stones.
Binah is written YHVH but read and pointed as Elohim. It is also called the Jubilee, and all freedom and redemption depend on it. When the lower sefirot hold onto it, freedom spreads through all of them, out of bondage and into great light. It sits above the seventy princes of the nations, so nothing there can block its good. Gikatilla calls it an inheritance without boundaries and the 'broad places of the river' (Gen. 36:37). Whoever is planted there is like the tree by the stream in Jeremiah 17, untouched by drought. It is also the Great Shofar, which freed Israel from Egypt and will gather the exiles.
