אל מלך יושב על כסא רחמיםEl Scatters the Camps
el melekh yoshev al kisse rachamimIn Gamatria ↗
One door of mercy opens, and three hundred camps flee.
El is Chesed, pure mercy with no judgment mixed in, and it gives freely even to the undeserving. Beneath the Great Court, 310 camps of judgment roam the world, called yesh (310 by letter-value) after Proverbs 8:21, and their storehouses hold reward kept for the righteous. El, which equals 31, is called their tithe. When a righteous person directs prayer to El, it comes out of its palace, and the camps scatter and hide, unable to harm anyone. That is why the prayer says 'El, King seated on a throne of mercy'. Abraham pursued this quality through many trials and inherited it, calling on 'El Olam'.
