עולם הנקודיםThe World of Points

olam ha-nekudimIn Gamatria ↗

Ten points, each standing alone: a world not yet joined.

Next come lights through the eyes of Adam Kadmon, called nekudot ('points'). These are the kings who reigned in Edom and died, and the 'unformed and void' of Genesis 1:2. Since the lower worlds could not yet take this light, the Emanator first withdrew again. He drew all light from below Adam Kadmon's navel upward and set a membrane (parsa) there, like the firmament dividing the waters. Eye-light spreads in circles, because an eye sweeps its gaze and the light seeps out through the skin. Here, unlike the akudim, ten separate vessels came first, set one beneath another, and Keter's light entered first.
