איה מקום כבודוWhere Is His Glory?

Asking where God is, from the bottom, is already the climb.
Judaism at its core is walking in simplicity, without clever wisdom. Even falling into doubt can serve the highest rise. All creation is rooted in God's glory, which is spread through the ten utterances of creation. But the glory does not reach defiled places. Those draw life only from the hidden, sealed utterance, 'In the beginning.' So when someone who has fallen there cries out, 'Where (ayeh) is the place of His glory?', a line from the Kedushah, the question itself ties him back to that hidden glory. It becomes his repentance. As the Yerushalmi says: if asked where your God is, answer, 'in great Rome.'
