אור פנימי ומקיףInner and Surrounding Light

or pnimi u-makifIn Gamatria ↗

What we hold, what slips back, what never enters yet surrounds.

The conducts are called 'lights' only because nothing subtler names them. A vessel limits and hides light, so light stands for revelation and kindness, and the vessel for restriction and judgment. There are three kinds of light: inner light enters the vessel and is held; returning surrounding light enters but cannot be held, so it rebounds and circles close outside; direct surrounding light hovers far off and never enters. Following the Gra, Binah is the inner light of the lower seven, Chokhmah the returning light, and Keter the distant one, beyond all grasp.
