The end was planted first; every age is its branch.
Time is divided like the sefirot. This world's six millennia run in order through Chesed to Yesod, with the messianic era as a passage. The seventh millennium is a Sabbath of higher spirit; in the eighth God renews His world; the ninth and tenth rise higher still. After the tenth begins an eternal conduct beyond our grasp, Adam Kadmon, 'primal man' — 'man' because it fills all 613 parts of creation, 'primal' because it was God's first intent. Since the last deed is first in thought, every earlier stage is a branch of it.
