Eat with a blessing, and a lost soul climbs free.
Each month is lit by one of twelve orderings of the divine Name. In Nisan it stands in its plain order, full mercy, so the holy souls pray for the living. So no one fasts or visits graves in Nisan, and the Shelah has each day's tribal prince read with a prayer and a gift to charity. Why keep away from a black ox in Nisan, when Satan dances between its horns? The Ari explains that souls pushed out from holiness are sunk in the earth. When the grasses sprout, they cling to them to be eaten. If a worthy person eats that herb or meat with a blessing, the soul is mended and rises. An ox eats much grass and swells with these souls, and its horns are the seat of pride. Before Passover, put away pride and stinginess.
