כי יקרא קן צפורThe Child's Tears

ki yikkare kan tzipporIn Gamatria ↗

A child held God to His own verse, and won.

From the Zohar: R. Elazar and his companions learned that R. Yosi of Peki'in had died, and went to tend him. His little son let no one near the bed. He wept: 'Master of the world, Your Torah says, when you find a bird's nest, send away the mother and take the young. We were two children, I and my little sister. You took our mother. Now You take our father too. Where is Your Torah's law?' A pillar of fire came between them, and a voice said the child's words and tears had reached the Throne: twenty-two years were added so the father could teach the boy Torah. R. Yosi opened his eyes. Later he said that the boy's 370 tears were counted above. Kaidanover concludes that suffering cleanses, and should be accepted with love.
