יאיר אור מעין האור הראשוןThe Light Returns
ya'ir or me-ein ha-or ha-rishonIn Gamatria ↗
Each year the old light rises at its hour.
Besides each holy day's general holiness, every season has its own content, rooted in an order set by the Supreme Wisdom: whenever a great repair (tikkun) was made and a great light shone at a certain time, then as that time comes round again in the cycle a light like the first one shines, renewing the effect of that repair in those who received it. So Passover's commandments recall the Exodus, Shavuot the giving of the Torah, and Sukkot the clouds of glory, though Sukkot is not their exact date; Chanukah and Purim follow the same pattern.
