Look into the water: love leans down, love rises.

There is a straight path, equal for every soul, to make the hidden love blaze. 'As water reflects a face, so one heart to another': love shown awakens love in return. More so if a great king stoops to lift a lowly person from the refuse heap into his innermost chamber. God did more: He went down into Egypt Himself to draw Israel close. Torah speech is like a kiss, grasping Torah is spirit cleaving to spirit, and the commandments are an embrace. Contemplating this kindles love in return.
