תשוב ה׳Return of the Heh

tashuv hehIn Gamatria ↗

One letter fell into the dark. Return it.

In Torah law, teshuvah (repentance) means abandoning the sin. Its inner meaning, after the Zohar, is tashuv heh, 'the heh returns'. In God's four-letter name, the final heh stands for the breath from which speech comes, and the soul was breathed from it. Sin draws that flow down into the realms of the other side, the exile of the Shekhinah. Lower teshuvah brings the lower heh back to its place. Upper teshuvah, through contemplation and Torah with awe and love, returns the soul to the upper heh, Binah.
