In every world a hidden room, and light clothed in letters.

The Shekhinah is the first revelation of the Infinite, the source from which every world draws its light, the way rays spread from the sun. No world could hold it bare without dissolving, so it is clothed in God's will and wisdom as given in the Torah and its commandments. It descends world by world, resting in an inner 'Holy of Holies' in each. In the First Temple it rested on the Tablets, carved by God outside the usual chain. The book ends: the commandments are the oil, the vital soul the wick, and light rests on the head.
