אור השמש בשמשThe Ray Within the Sun

or hashemesh bashemeshIn Gamatria ↗

Out here a ray; at home, nothing but sun.

Every creature is truly as nothing next to the divine power that keeps creating it from nothing. We see solid matter only because our eyes cannot see the life within it; if they could, the matter would vanish from sight. Think of sunlight. Out in the world it seems real, but inside the sun the same light counts as nothing, lost in its source. Creatures are like that ray. The text admits where the image fails: creatures are always inside their source, so why don't they dissolve? Answering that needs the coming chapters on concealment.
