להנות לנבראיוTo Delight His Creatures

lehanot li-nivra'avIn Gamatria ↗

Do not judge the vessel before its last line is drawn.

Nothing can be judged halfway through, only from its end, and no wise maker acts without a purpose. A ruined garment is the tailor's fault, so any flaw we find in ourselves points back to our Maker — we must therefore be exalted beings. The sages give the purpose: God created the world to delight His creatures. Pleasure is measured by the desire for it, so this purpose required giving the souls an immense will to receive, as great as the delight intended for them.
