What is held for good becomes the step to climb higher.

The five lights earned in Asiyah are only the Nefesh of each; every world holds its own five. To rise into a world for good, purity must be fixed, until 'the Knower of secrets testifies he will not return to his folly'. Higher lights can be held only for a time, and are lost the moment that part of desire wakes again. Each fixed purification brings sameness of form with a whole world — so a person needs all the worlds. One who comes to purify is helped, and the help is a holy soul.
