The only new thing ever made was a hollow.

What in creation is truly new? The will to receive cannot have been in the Creator's essence — from whom would He receive? So it is the one thing created from nothing. Nothing else needed creating: all the good intended for the souls flows straight from His essence, 'something from something', into that great desire. The whole substance of creation, from beginning to end, is the will to receive and nothing more.
