תוך הצנוןThe Worm in the Radish
toch ha-tznonIn Gamatria ↗
Inside the radish the world is bitter; outside it, light.
Why build vast worlds for small humanity? The Creator delights when His creatures know Him as the giver, like a father playing with a beloved child who grasps his greatness as he shows him the treasures prepared for him ('Is Ephraim My dear son?'). Only a human, who can feel others, reaches this. Those who scoff are like a worm born in a radish, sure the world is bitter, dark and small; once it breaks the skin, a vast bright world appears — and one says, with the good guest, all this was for me.
