The lowest vessels finish the form and let the highest light in.

Ashlag will not argue authorship: the book's depth shows its author was no less than Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. Why was it hidden from greater generations? The six thousand years form one spiritual figure — two thousand of chaos, two of Torah, two of the Messiah. Vessels grow from the top down, but lights enter from the bottom up, so the highest light shines only when the lowest vessels are complete. Earlier, purer souls excelled in deeds; later, lower souls complete the figure and receive more wisdom.
