לקוט הניצוצותGathering the Sparks

When the last ember at the feet is lifted, the darkness has nothing to eat.
The klippot live only from holiness, so they work to make people sin and draw souls in to feed on them. The Shechinah went into exile among them to gather those sparks, purify them and send them down into bodies, and the Messiah will not come until even the sparks fallen to 'the feet' are gathered. Then the klippot die of themselves ('death swallowed forever'). God sometimes places a great soul with a wicked father to outwit them, as Abraham was born to Terah, and the son raises the father. A righteous person should pursue the wicked with love, since the good sparks one has lost may be lodged in them, and their evil may have been given to oneself.
