תשובה – תשוב ה'Return the Heh

teshuvah – tashuv hehIn Gamatria ↗

Turning is a letter, fallen, lifted home.

Repentance belongs to Ima and gilgul to Abba: a person who repents is repaired by Ima, and one who does not is sent back through gilgul by Abba. Teshuvah is read as tashuv heh, 'the letter heh returns'. Sin lowers a world, or the Shechinah, into the klippot or into a lower world, and repentance raises the lower heh back to its place. There are four types of atonement, matching the four worlds and the four letters of the Name. Full repentance requires knowing one's soul-root and the earlier lives in it, since a later life must repair as if it held every level the first one damaged.
