והארץ לעולם עומדתThe Earth Stands

ve-ha-aretz le-olam omedetIn Gamatria ↗

Generations go and come; the ground beneath them stays.

Gilgul applies to men and not to women: 'a generation goes and a generation comes, but the earth (the women) stands forever'. Men, who are obligated in Torah study, cannot be purified in Gehinnom and so must return, while women are cleansed there. Women do come by ibbur and can pass into a daughter in full gilgul. A woman returns with her husband when it is for his sake. A man reborn as a woman for certain sins cannot conceive unless a female soul joins her by ibbur, and she bears daughters.
